Multiple Tremors Reported, No Major Damage or Injuries
A series of minor earthquakes has struck the Lazio region of Italy, including the capital city of Rome. The strongest tremor, with a magnitude of 2.1, was recorded at 11:39 p.m. local time and was felt by residents in Rome, Viterbo, Frosinone, Rieti, and other surrounding cities.
According to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), a total of four tremors were detected between 11:38 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. All were shallow, with depths ranging from 5 to 10 kilometers.
No major damage or injuries have been reported at this time. Authorities are monitoring the situation and advising residents to follow safety precautions, such as staying away from windows and avoiding driving in areas where there may be debris.
