Overview

The Toohey Trail Run is an annual 25-kilometer trail run that takes place in the Toohey Forest, located just outside of Brisbane, Australia. The race is open to runners of all ages and abilities and offers a challenging and scenic course that winds through the forest's lush rainforest terrain. The 2023 Toohey Trail Run was held on Sunday, May 7th, and saw over 1,000 runners participate in the event.

Race Results

The 2023 Toohey Trail Run was won by local runner David Goodman, who finished the course in a time of 1:55:32. Goodman was followed by fellow Australian runner Benita Willis, who finished in a time of 1:58:45. The third-place finisher was American runner Max King, who crossed the line in a time of 2:00:12.

Course Description

The Toohey Trail Run course is a challenging and scenic 25-kilometer loop that winds through the Toohey Forest's lush rainforest terrain. The course features a variety of terrain, including single-track trails, dirt roads, and creek crossings. The course is also relatively hilly, with over 1,000 meters of elevation gain. The course record is held by David Goodman, who set a time of 1:52:34 in 2021.
